Volunteers Needed!

As an association that is solely run by volunteers, it is crucial that everyone plays a part!

We have an URGENT need for assistance in these areas for the 2025/26 season:

Coaching Coordinator

Assist with coach interview process as needed
Hold coaches meeting at the beginning of the season
Track coaching qualifications and report to Director when coaches do not meet the requirements
Track coaching applications and provide lists to Director
Communicate with coaches in regards to RO announcements about upcoming training sessions
Help guide new coaches

Player Advisor

Supports players and families in navigating/guiding policies to ensure a positive and successful experience and mitigate any issues
Can support players and families through conflict resolution pathways
The candidate is ideally non-parent, with previous WORA Board experience or is a parent of a player who has aged out of the association.

You do not need to have experience for any of these roles.

In addition, we have a great support system through current volunteers who you can reach out to throughout the season if you have any questions.

We are also looking for event helpers, administration help, on ice helpers and so much more.
